My 100th Blog Entry!

Yes! It is my 100th Blog Entry! Wow, it seems like just yesterday I posted my very first entry. I can’t believe that I have already done 100 posts on Dr. Honey! Time sure does fly by very fast. Today is 9th June, 2009. I started this blog with my first post on 25th February 2009, making it more than three months old. I think I have enjoyed blogging so much and have made so many friends out there in blog land from the United States, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Russia, Taiwan, China, India, Canada, and right here in Malaysia. I really appreciate each and every blogging friend and all the great comments you leave here. This has been a place for me to laugh, cry, vent, play, and express my love and affection for my dearest family, friends, and students and get to know some wonderful people far and wide.

As an academic blog, it aims to aspire people all around the globe and also acts as a tool for me to interact with my Post Grad students and to motivate them from time to time. After 100 posts, I have found that the process has also been a great learning experience for me and enhances my own knowledge from day to day. I am impressed with the productivity of my first 100 posts and hopefully my next 100 will be even better!

MY IMPORTANT TOOL FOR BLOGGING =>>

MY SOURCES OF INSPIRATION

Inspiration can come in many forms, sometimes it can be because of positive things that happen to you and on other occasions it can be because of something more on the negative side. Sometimes coming up with a new topic to write about everyday on your blog isn’t easy, but having sources of inspiration can help us write some amazing posts and articles.

My sources of inspiration are :

Quotes

Quotes are a fantastic source of inspiration; in particular, quotes that you refer to over and over again – the ones that are memorized and repeated multiple times a day. I usually find quotes organically while reading a book or an article. They jump out at me. I usually relate with the feeling that the quote describes or feel inspired by the words themselves.

Music

Music plays an important role in creating the right mood for an entry. If you’ve noticed, my selection of song depends on the content of my entry. Remember when I’ve chosen “More Than A Woman” by The Bee Gees when the entry was about “Reminiscing About The Good Old Days” ….It was so touching and really reflects back all those sweet memories during the 70s!

Blogs by Inspiring Bloggers

Reading other blogs can be a great source of inspiration and has inspired many of my posts. In particular, I love blogs with a personal touch — typos, humor, less than perfect grammar, real world examples, and so on. Sometimes I need a blog with very few words, but most of the time I’m looking for inspiring articles to give me that creative edge. Reading a blog article is much more than just reading — you are given the key to a community of other readers interested in the same material.

Love
Love itself is the biggest inspiration. My love for my family, my friends and also my students inspires me to write on any issues that concern them. Love inspires me to write something that could motivates them, improves their relationship with others and teaches them about the facts of life that they have to face from time to time. It gives me a kind of satisfaction for being able to contribute something to the ones that I really care about.

Reading
Reading is one of the most important inspirational sources for bloggers. The more you read, the more ideas you'll get about tools to try out, things to research, topics to write about. There are two main websites that I share my personal view and agree with most of the articles i.e ezinearticles.com and joke_archives.com. My interest in Self Improvement, Motivation and Human Relationship has really inspires and gives me the energy to search more and do more. That is the reason Dr. HONEY focuses more on these areas which certainly are the underlying factors that enhances the quality of human capital in any organization or country.

Readers’ comments

Comments on my blog are good inspiration for my blog post. My readers will tell me how they felt about my entries and what they’re interested in reading. I’m inspired by all the eye-opening comments my readers leave! Example of those comments :

Dr Honey, ,
Thanks for a very good point on how to handle the difficulty of expressing ideas in class. Presentation skills and Confident of Selling Ideas is an essential skill to all executive in Private Sector. The question on how fast you climb the corporate ladder is very much relate on how you can convince people especially Top Level management.

As what you wrote " Practice makes perfect! Build up your confident and don't be afraid to speak out! Make yourself visible! "
Till Then .
